Teacher by passion, humanitarian in the soul such is Katia Capparelli , Was born in Montreal to Italian parents and began practicing yoga and meditation in the late 1990s . A trip to Bali transformed her way of seeing life.
This new perspective and also the fact of regularly helping the child of a loved one with reduced handicaps and abilities, arouse in her the desire to help children through yoga. Katia decided to enroll in a yoga class for children at the traditional Sivananda Center in the Bahamas.
On her return, she was conquered, she knew at that time what she wanted to do with her life. So she returned for the next 4 years to become a certified yoga teacher and also to complete other courses in order to work with children with disabilities, autistics, hyperactivity disorder, attention deficit and intellectual and physical challenges, Among others.
Since then, she has helped many children on a daily basis and promotes healthy living among them, in regular classes, schools, rehabilitation centers and youth centers in Montreal. Devoted, she draws a great deal of pride, satisfaction and a sense of belonging because she sees herself in them. This is what gives her the taste to continue to help them, to give them hope and to put a bit of sun in their life, but especially in her own because it is with them that she finds joy.
